LOCAL 303 ELECTIONS OF UNION OFFICERS 2017
Sisters and Brothers,
The time is upon us once again for Local 303 to conduct the Elections For Officers of our Union. The Elections are being conducted by the California Election Company, a private election company headquartered in San Diego California.
In accordance with the Uniform Local Union Constitution (ULUC) the Elections are being overseen by our Judges of Elections. Four Mail Handlers, who are Union members in good standing, were selected by the Local 303 Executive Board to ensure that the elections are conducted in accordance the ULUC.
The Election ballots were mailed out by the California Election Company on Saturday, September 2, 2017. The ballots were mailed to the address of record of each dues paying members of Local 303. If you have not received your ballot please contact the Local Union Office at (323) 757-0161 and request to speak with the Judges of Elections. Inform the Judges that you have not received an Election ballot. The Judges should verify your address for accuracy and they should mail you a duplicate ballot that same day.
A P.O. Box was selected by the Judges of Election as per the ULUC. When you return your ballot to the P.O. Box in the return envelope provided, it will be collected by the Judges of Elections accompanied by the California Election Company on Tuesday, October 3, 2017.
The process allows for the ballots to be separated and counted by the California Election Company on the same day that they are collected, Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at the Local Union Office. Once the ballots are counted the California Election Company will announce the winners.
Please do not wait until the last day or the day before the due date to mail out your ballot because it will not arrive in time to be counted, thank you.
